We conducted an interview with Leopoldo Navarro, so that you can get to know our project manager.
Q: How long have you been in the CHOICE group and how did you get started?
A: I will turn 11 next month, I started as a Legal Assistant in one of the Choice Group companies in the Villa El Salvador Warehouses, after 2 years with Management in the Callao offices. The Choice group has helped me develop in different areas as a logistics operator.
Today I am in the administrative offices of Choice in San Isidro performing the position of Legal Manager of the Choice Group.
Q: You also hold the Project Manager Position at Choice, what projects are you currently managing?
A: Together with Daryl Pratt I am currently designated as Project Manager for the sale of Conga Assets (Newmont corporation Mining), where we are supervising and transferring the assets from Minera Yanacocha in Cajamarca to Salaverry Trujillo.
Q: What projections of new projects do you see in the medium term?
Although it is true, there is not much projection for the following years in projects, there is a possible expansion of the project due to new assets for sale in the Newmont project.
We are in tenders for new projects, we seek that they are not just mining projects.
Q: What are the main obstacles you face in making your work flow normally?
To work on projects you always have to have good professionals but above all great people who like to be in the field. One of the main obstacles is being able to coordinate with contractors to have the same standard of work.
Q: How do you share your family days, as well as work days, considering that you spend a lot of time in the camp or mine?
Although it is true that the projects require me to be away from Lima for a long time and it is not always possible to spend weekends with the family, I am in constant contact and taking advantage of the days that I am in Lima to share with them as much as possible.
