We conducted an interview with Jurg Roduner and Isabel Simón, so that they can get to know the allied representatives of Rhenus in the Choice Group.
Jurg Roduner interview:
Q: How long have you lived in Peru?
A: Since November 1, 2021.
Q: Who is Rhenus and why work with Choice Cargo?
A: Rhenus is a logistics company (logistics operator) of German origin with more than 100 years of existence, more than 1,000 offices and about 44,000 employees worldwide. The client should choose us and also Choice Cargo since we can provide clients with a comprehensive international and local logistics service with a network of our own offices around the world and with our ally/partner/agent Choice Cargo, which has several years of experience.
Q: What are the main challenges you had in developing businesses?
A: At first I had to learn a lot about how the procedures work in Peru, operations and customs. There is a lot of competition in the market, many clients focus only on the price of the service, but we sell a good service at a fair price, a comprehensive solution for the client.
Q: What are the next short and medium term goals for Rhenus?
A: Further consolidate the Rhenus brand together with our alliance with Choice Cargo in the Peruvian market, develop more businesses, regular clients, different verticals such as mining, automotive, etc.
Isabel Simon interview:
Q: How long have you lived in Peru and since when have you been in Rhenus?
A: I have been living in Peru for 13 years and I have been in Rhenus for 2 months.
Q: Why bet on Rhenus at the professional level?
A: Because Rhenus is a global freight forwarder present in many countries where you can grow professionally and have a greater network of contacts and close good deals.
Q: How is Rhenus different from the competition?
A: Rhenus is the only family-owned company that is on par with other global freight forwarders. Additionally, Rhenus is a company that has several businesses that it relies on to provide a complete and dedicated service to its clients.
Q: What is the main challenge that Rhenus faces in the coming years?
A: The main challenge would be to grow businesses in Peru like Rhenus and in the LATAM region since the LATAM region has fewer years in the industry than the rest of the freight forwarders. Likewise, I think that every company needs challenges to be able to grow and become known, it takes work and dedication like Rhenus and the employees who belong to this great company have.
