Puno: Truck carrying illegal merchandise intervenes

At a press conference, police officers from the DEPINCRI Juliaca presented smuggled merchandise valued at two million four hundred thousand soles, as detailed by the head of the X Macro Police Region Puno, PNP General Enrique Hugo Felipe Monrroy, the merchandise was transported in a Fuso vehicle of Mitsubishi brand A7H-928 running plate, the same one that transported merchandise consisting of cigarette boxes of different brands of illegal origin.

The vehicle was driven by Nelson Huanca who tried to flee, moments in which he was intervened and the police officers realized that the Fuso truck was transporting illegal merchandise consisting of 360 boxes of cigarettes of different brands.

At another time, they detailed that when they were moving the unit to Juliaca near the town center of Puquis, they found the road blocked with stones, sticks and a large number of people who tried to recover the vehicle.

Finally, everything seized, including the vehicle, is valued at two million, four hundred thousand soles. In addition, the head of the X Macro Police Region of Puno explained that in coordination with the corporate provincial prosecutor's office specialized in customs crimes, they interned the merchandise and the vehicle CUSTOMS offices.
