The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), through the Directorate of Property Availability, has acquired, to date, more than 60% of the properties required for the expansion of the Cajamarca, Iquitos, Jauja, Talara and Tarapoto airports. .
It was detailed that, for the General FAP Armando Revoredo Iglesias Airport project, in Cajamarca, the MTC has already acquired 82% of the land. While, for the Jauja Francisco Carlé air terminal, in Junín, the progress of acquisitions reaches 64%.
In the case of the Colonel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport, in Iquitos, the sector acquired 95% of the properties. Regarding the interventions at the Captain FAP Víctor Montes Arias International Airport, in Talara, Piura, 10% of the necessary properties have been acquired.
Regarding the properties affected by the expansion of the Guillermo Del Castillo Paredes air terminal, in the city of Tarapoto, in San Martín, the MTC has acquired 78% of the properties to date.
At a social level, communication and direct relationship processes are being carried out in the areas destined for the expansions of the aforementioned airports, with the objective of informing and stimulating the participation of the population in the acquisition procedure.
The Ministry of Transportation and Communications, through the General Directorate of Transportation Programs and Projects, will continue with the property acquisition process to carry out the expansion of airports, the construction of new roads, the implementation of cutting-edge railway projects and other fundamental infrastructures that will generate significant benefits for Peruvians.
